About

Hi and welcome to my website. I am a cowboy boot hobbyist and enthusiast.  I created this website to be able to share my experiences and love of this hobby with others. I personally own and have owned many pairs of cowboy boots in multiple different styles and types and in the process have learned quite a bit that can be passed along to others. There is no formal education for me to cite, but lessons learned from experience and research. This doesn’t mean that everything you see here will be 100% firsthand knowledge, as all of us learn from others, from mentors and friends, and from doing reading and research.  I don’t work on boots for a living, but I do enjoy dying boots, restoring and reconditioning second hand and vintage pairs, and have even delved into some minor repair work. All as part of enjoying the hobby.

My daily wear is going to include cowboy boots and I hope the information provided here helps anyone who is doing or thinking about doing the same thing. There are quite a few “can I wear x with cowboy boots” articles up including for polo shirts, suits, and shorts to name a few.  My current favorite exotics are going to have to be ostrich and depending on the day I prefer either Dan Post or Anderson Bean for my regular wears.

You can reach out to me at any of the social links in the footer at the bottom of the page, at the contact form on the site, or by email directly at jacob at cowboy boot guru dot com.
